Where do dreams end

Where do dreams end and actions begin?
When our parents tell us it can't possibly be
We go out and try to prove they're silly
And we dream our dreams and try again

When our parents tell us it can't possibly be
Our defiance pushes us past all their doubts
And we dream our dreams and try again
Shouting to the world, look at me!

Our defiance pushes us past all their doubts
Though sometimes on our journey we get lost
But we shout to the world, look at me!
Pretending everything's going to work out fine

Sometimes on our journey we get lost
We're so busy trying to prove who's the boss
Pretending everything's going to work out fine
We forget how we got to this place this time

We're so busy trying to prove who's the boss
We miss seeing the falling star to wish upon
We forget how we got to this place this time
But remember our dreams and move along

We miss seeing the falling star to wish upon
But then our loved ones remind us how we shine
We remember our dreams and move along
Where do our dreams end and our actions begin?
