Poem #16 -30/30
the thanks we get
Don't ever call me when you need something, and then be unkind
To say what I advised was all wrong and didn't help you at all
Don't ask me to help you and then turn around and pretend to be blind
There are forces in the universe that watch this behavior and make a call
To say what I advised was all wrong and didn't help you at all
Like that time when you thought you were pregnant from a one night stand
There are forces in the universe that watch this behavior and make a call
You didn't even know the guy's address or even his name - what a scam
Like that time when you thought you were pregnant from a one night stand
I said, abortion isn't a birth control method - and you just got mad
You didn't even know the guy's address let alone his name - what a scam
I hung in there with you until the rabbit died, and you decided you'd have it
I said, abortion isn't a birth control method - and you just got mad
But you tried to understand when I said, so many of us can't have babies
I hung in there with you until the rabbit died, and you decided you'd have it
Some guys would rather have herpes, the clap or even rabies
But you tried to understand when I said, so many of us can't have babies
Your eyes squeezed out liquid stars, which I took as a good sign
Some guys would rather have herpes, the clap, or even rabies
And you loved bad boys more than you loved yourself, or a sane life
Your eyes squeezed out liquid stars, which I took as a good sign
Though the next day, you called from the clinic to say it was all behind you
But you loved bad boys more than you loved yourself, or a sane life
Don't ever call me when you need something, and then be unkind
