South Dakota snow
falls in October so cold
before tricks or treats


visit

never a blister
or outta control twister
baby's visitin'


onion

pealing back layers
thinning the skin to thicken
a swelling heart


ground

cold hard winter ground
waiting for a Spring thaw/
flowers slumbering


bell

a ringing in ears
sound of bullet's ricochet
a long distance call


marble

round, a world in glass
shot from a thumb and finger
upsetting planets


frontier

a final frontier
inside minds eye, rolling back
where it all began


slow

Autumn easy
sunshine when it gives a damn
winter's waiting with wings


crinkle

wrinkles sprinkled
are nature's way of sayin'
this time, a worn face


comfort

luscious touch
fingers, hands, arms and lips
twists hurt into love
